Informativa privacy

1. Titolare del trattamento

Simone Basilico, Italia. Contatto: privacy@jobreaper.it.

2. Estensione browser

Puoi spegnerlo in qualsiasi momento.

Base giuridica: legittimo interesse (art.

6.1.b GDPR). Niente newsletter, niente cessione a terzi.

5. I tuoi diritti

Puoi chiedere accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità e opporti al trattamento scrivendo a privacy@jobreaper.it.

Privacy policy

1. Data controller

Simone Basilico, Italy. Contact: privacy@jobreaper.it.

2. Browser extension

What happens in your browser

When you click Check this posting, the extension reads the job posting you have open (title, company, location, date, description) and analyses it on your device. It reads no other pages, no browsing history, never acts on websites for you and does nothing unless you trigger it.

On major job sites the extension checks whether the page contains a job posting, to show the button. On any other site it reads the page only when you click Analyse this page. If you turn on Turn on for all sites in the popup, the browser asks your permission to read all pages: the extension uses it only to recognise, on your device, whether they contain job postings, and sends nothing about the pages you visit. You can turn it off any time. If you select text and use Check with JobReaper from the right-click menu, we read only the selected text. If you paste a link, your browser downloads that single page after asking your permission for that site; if you paste text, it is analysed on your device and never sent to us.

When you click Apply on a posting, the extension notes it (role, company, posting address) so it can ask you a week later how it went. Your browser's local storage also keeps the outcomes you reported and a random installation ID. Everything stays on your device; applications are deleted automatically after 60 days, the rest when you uninstall.

The shareable image is created on your device and never sent to us. It shows the role and the result, never the company name.

What we send to our server

To recognise the same posting published under different companies, each analysis sends:

With this data, always aggregated and never the text, we can also warn companies when someone publishes suspicious postings using their name.

If you report an outcome, we also send the outcome, the posting fingerprint, the company name and the random installation ID, used only to avoid counting the same report twice. We do not send the posting text, your name, email, profile or the addresses of pages you visit.

Our infrastructure provider processes the connection's IP address to deliver the request; we do not store it in our tables.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in protecting job seekers from fraudulent postings, balanced by the data being fingerprints that cannot be linked to you. Retention: fingerprints for 12 months after the last analysis, reports for 24 months.

3. Website and analysis requests

If you check a posting on the website, the analysis runs entirely in your browser: the text you paste is not sent or stored anywhere. If you write to us from the business section, your email app opens: we only receive what you choose to send and use it to reply. Legal basis: performing your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). No newsletters, no sharing with third parties.

The website uses no profiling cookies and no traffic analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address to serve them.

4. Providers

Database and server functions: Supabase, with data hosted in the European Union, appointed as data processor (Art. 28 GDPR).

Website hosting: Netlify, which processes visitors' IP addresses and technical logs to deliver pages and protect them from abuse. Email: Aruba, which stores the messages you send us. Fonts: Google Fonts.

Translation of postings in other languages happens on your device. On Chrome and Edge it uses the browser's built-in translator. On Firefox and Safari, the first time a language is needed, the browser downloads the corresponding translation package from a file server: that server receives your IP address and the requested language, never the posting text.

Some providers (Netlify, Google) are based in the United States: transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request and no longer than 24 months.

5. Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing, by writing to privacy@jobreaper.it. Extension data cannot be linked to you: send us your installation ID if you want your reports deleted. You may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante).

6. Companies mentioned in postings

JobReaper does not pass judgement on companies: it reports verifiable signals found in the posting and the resulting risk level. If you represent a company and believe an analysis is wrong, write to reports@jobreaper.it: we review every report and reply as soon as possible.

7. Chrome Web Store

JobReaper's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only for the analysis feature described above and is never sold, used for advertising or for creditworthiness.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top. Material changes are announced in the extension.
